ARC Virtual Forums have become “must attend” events for industrial operations and IT management.  And now the most influential gathering of thought leaders and technology evangelists in our industry, The ARC Industry Forum, is going virtual for 2021 and expanding to incorporate parallel Smart Cities and Supply Chain Management Programs.

Companies and public agencies mean different things when they use the term "Smart Cities" or “Digital Transformation.”  For some organizations, it means replacing manual, paper, and pencil processes with digital data and process support.  For others, it means using IoT and unified dashboards.  For some, it means applying machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) in order to create actionable business intelligence.

Private and public organizations worldwide are undergoing true digital transformation.  The Coronavirus has highlighted the need for more agility to handle events both planned and unexpected.  The pandemic and global trade wars have highlighted the necessities of resilience and sustainability. On the ground, field device networks, connectivity, artificial intelligence and machine learning are enhancing the ability to perform true demand-driven responses as well as granular forecasting.

Clean Energy, Smart Cities, and Digital Transformation conjures many futuristic concepts and images!  These are all explored at the ARC Industry Forum Smart Energy & Cities Program.  The This Program kicks off with a free workshop on Smart City Planning using the IEEE Smart City P2784 standard.  The program continues with session blocks that address the broad range of Smart City applications, including lighting, smart grid, electric and connected vehicles, building automation, and much more.  Each session is comprised of multiple practitioner speakers, followed by a robust panel discussion which includes executives from leading suppliers.  Woven through this series are detailed discussions of the transformative technologies that are driving astounding application developments and investment returns.

Our presenters are practitioners with direct hands-on knowledge of successes and obstacles.  All presentations are 100% educational and are carefully constructed to provide practical, usable, common sense guidance.
